Description
Within the Mental health Services Adult Inpatient Program, reporting to the Unit Manager, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is working within their scope of practice to collaborate on the delivery of care to meet the needs of client's. The LPN - Laurier House provides activities and care within the full scope of practice as defined by the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Assessments and monitoring: Performing and contributing to the initial and ongoing nursing assessment of assigned clients. documenting health information from objective/subjective sources to identify client health needs. Collecting, documenting, reporting and monitoring changes in health status using critical judgement skills. This position has transitioned to Recovery Alberta effective September 1, 2024. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving and decision making skills. You will be guided by your education, experience, demonstrated skill level and AHS policies and procedures. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta (CLPNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
