Alberta Health Services is looking for a vibrant individual to step into the role of Manager, Willow Square Continuing Care Centre. Reporting to the Area Manager, Seniors Health, you will be in a crucial role supporting patient care. As the Manager, you will be the backbone to our facility, enjoying the autonomy to lead and manage a dedicated team of individuals. Your contribution will be instrumental in fostering an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, making a positive impact on the lives of the residents and their families. We are seeking a dynamic, outgoing, and professional individual who excels in communication, is adept at working with both professional and unregulated staff in a fast-paced environment. Your role will include developing and maintaining and effective framework for the operations and services we provide and ensure the delivery of efficient, effective, and safe care to our residents. In addition to a competitive rate of pay, AHS currently has a Fort McMurray Allowance in place to an annual maximum at $12,480. This allowance is non-pensionable and is payable on an hourly basis for all hours paid at the basic rate of pay.

The incumbent of this position will have a strong emphasis on service delivery, enhance workflow, and successfully lead our Long-term Care and Supportive Living departments. You will possess demonstrated skills in decision-making, coaching, mentoring, teaching, and the ability to motivate, inspire and build confidence in others. You will bring a passion for resident and family-centered care, advocating for residents while working to meet their needs or their family’s needs. You will be responsible and accountable for direction, team leadership and organization over the activities of the facility, as well as supporting the vision, mission, and business plan of Alberta Health Services. The Manager is also responsible for developing and maintaining strong working relationships with key stakeholders, facilitating change management, promoting team development, teamwork, and coordinating staffing and clinical work.

Current registration with CRNA.

Minimum of five years’ nursing experience in Continuing Care and/or Acute Care. Minimum of two years’ management experience within a unionized environment. Knowledge and understanding of CCHSS, Accreditation, Accommodation Standards.

Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
