As a Pharmacist I, you will be responsible for the safe, effective and efficient preparation and distribution of pharmaceutical services. You will manage medication therapy for patients, both initially and on an ongoing basis. In addition, you will provide assessment, intervention and resolution of potential or actual drug-related problems and oversee activities related to compounding and packaging.
Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. Active or eligible for registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy (ACP).
Current experience at the Royal Alexandra Hospital Pharmacy Services required. Competence with Connect Care as an inpatient pharmacist required. Additional Prescribing Authorization from ACP (or must be achieved within 1 year of date of hire).
Experience as a pharmacist in a large acute care hospital setting providing comprehensive medication management services in a collaborative care model within a multi-disciplinary patient care team is preferred. Completion of a Canadian accredited pharmacy residency program preferred. Advanced clinical pharmacy degree, e.g., post-baccalaureate PharmD preferred. Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred.
