Description
Reporting to the Director, Edmonton Zone Staffing Services, Provincial Staffing Services, the Staffing Service Manager is responsible for; performance results, organization and direction of the Staffing Service Centre (SSC), while providing leadership to the scheduling teams and fostering a positive work environment that is focused on serving its customers.
The Staffing Service Manager works collaboratively with the leadership team at client sites and support teams, including the Scheduler team, Relief Team Program Managers/Managers, Workforce Analysts, Senior Business Operations and Performance Consultant in the day-to-day delivery of Staffing Services to the zone. The Staffing Service Manager provides strong leadership to customers in implementing standardized staffing standards and policies, while resolving complex client issues. Promoting staff development within the SSC is key in providing consistent staff scheduling and relief workforce deployment. This position identifies SSC staffing requirements and is responsible for the recruitment and performance management as required for positions within the SSC, as well as managing and monitoring operational budget.
Baccalaureate degree in health-related field or Business Administration or Education required. Minimum 5 years progressive leadership or supervisory experience, preferably in health management or unionized environment required. Previous experience with staff scheduling and scheduling provisions required. Significant experience in problem solving, facilitation, concerns resolution, investigation and negotiation.
Team leadership, interpersonal and team building skills. Demonstrated ability to foster partnerships and relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective communicator with strong organizational skills, influencing skills and commitment to providing quality services. Strong analytical, critical thinking, problem solving and communication skills. Demonstrates a strong commitment to client satisfaction.
Previous experience with ESP scheduling applications preferred. Good understanding of regulatory legislation, AHS policies, AHS standardized scheduling processes and timekeeping practices preferred. A demonstrated pattern of professional and personal development preferred. Knowledge of and experience in project planning and execution, reporting, monitoring and evaluation preferred.
