Our client at Alberta Precision Laboratories (APL) is hiring a temporary Talent Support Advisor to our team to build talent pipelines, assist throughout the recruitment process, nurture relationships, and drive strategic sourcing efforts by modernizing recruitment practices to attract top talent across the province. As a Talent Support Advisor, you will collaborate closely with our Talent Acquisition Service Delivery Advisors, as well as other internal and external partners to support both candidates and hiring leaders throughout the recruitment cycle, ensuring a streamlined process that promotes a positive and inclusive candidate experience. Your strong organizational skills and attention to detail to plan and prioritize work while balancing multiple activities concurrently is instrumental to this role. As the Talent Support Advisor, you will be supporting many recruitment initiatives, with high volume or specialty hiring requirements within AHS’ large and complex organization. With a focus on ensuring a positive candidate experience, you will be responsible for supporting our partners in Talent Acquisition Service Delivery on functions of the recruitment cycle and you will leverage your expert sourcing techniques to define your sourcing criteria and source candidates on media platforms. To be successful you must be adaptable, organized, detail oriented and have excellent communication skills. You are knowledgeable in recruitment practices, able to conduct career conversations with candidates and stay up-to-date with current recruitment trends and best practices. You demonstrates creativity, resourcefulness, and an excellent customer service-orientation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or other relevant degree (a combination of education and experience may be considered). Two or more years of experience in human resources, or talent acquisition/recruitment. Knowledge of human resource policies and procedures as they relate to recruitment.
Proficiency using business software applications (i.e. MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Teams, etc.).
Experience in a unionized environment or working with unionized staff. Experience recruiting in a healthcare environment. Applicant Tracking System (ATS) experience. LinkedIn Recruiter experience is considered an asset.
