This position supports the TCSS Calgary Deskside team, and the TCSS Clinical Advisors, and is responsible for escalations, reporting, TCSS Zone inventory management, forecasting hardware requirements, as well as vendor engagement/contract management of Microserve who provides operational and Connect Care NMD support. The position also provides province-wide support to activities and projects requiring TCSS input. The Manager - Technology Client Support Services is a key leadership role within the Technology Client Support Services Portfolio. The successful candidate for this dynamic role must be able to manage multiple and competing priorities while still maintaining the high level of service demanded by our client base. Strong communication skills and a keen understanding of a healthcare environment and its structure will be required. A high degree of clinical workflow knowledge and the application of technology in that setting is necessary to ensure your success in this role. You must be able to contribute and execute the strategic priorities of the portfolio and those of the zone. You will work closely with your counterparts in the other zones and portfolios and are expected to be an active participant in the broader provincial activities of the portfolio. Under your leadership, the team will evolve to support the requirements of the organization. Must have demonstrated desktop support methodologies knowledge, and Microsoft O365 knowledge, as well as demonstrated continual service improvement and change management abilities. This role supports multiple desktop support teams overseeing approximately 25,000 devices.

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a related field is required. Experience with Microsoft Windows OS environment management. 5 to 10 years of IT and business/industry experience in an organization of significant size, complexity and diversity. 3 to 5 years of direct IT leadership responsibility managing midsize to large teams and influencing senior-level management and key stakeholders. IT operational experience. A clear pattern of professional and personal development and growth. Solid problem-solving track record in finding creative solutions to complex issues. Proven ability to effectively handle and manage multiple and complex initiatives simultaneously in a quickly changing environment information in this field. Strong IT technical and interpersonal knowledge is also required.

Experience in business process/operations improvement and/or understanding IT practices/technology.

Master’s degree in a related field. PMP designation. Experience with non-Windows OS (Wyse, MacOS). Experience in a Healthcare Environment using an EMR system like Connect Care (EPIC). Preferred: In-depth knowledge of the Clinical environment. Preference for candidates with experience navigating healthcare complexities. Ideal candidate: strong IT and/or clinical background, interest, and experience in IT systems and hardware in healthcare. PMP will be an added advantage
