Account Executive – Financial Institutions Practice

This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Edmonton or Calgary office.

What the day will look likeAs part of an industry-leading team, you will help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions as part of our Financial Institutions Practice within Aon Risk Solutions. As an Account Executive, you will report directly to the Leader of the Advisor Errors and Omissions Programs, Financial Institutions Practice.
- Delivering continuous excellence in servicing an existing book;
- Identifying specific client and prospect needs and developing innovative and cost effective solutions;
- Coordinating / providing insight to the account team and establish client service plans that prioritize the account activities and profitability in a value-based approach for the scope of services required;
- Developing and managing the relationship
- Developing new contacts and build relationships;
- Providing the leadership necessary for development and delivery of insurance and industry related presentations/seminars prospects and clients as required;
- Monthly reporting for sales reports, progress reports and status reports as required
This role is ideal for a high energy individual who is looking for a challenge in relationship management of a large Financial Institutions client. This unique role within Aon will give the candidate the opportunity to work with a dynamic team as a core collaborator. To be a fit for this role the candidate must love people interactions, travel, and high energy events where there is an opportunity to promote Aon and its products to our client.
Skills and experience that will lead to success- Minimum of five (5) years of commercial insurance experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written;
- Client-focused and proven relationship-building skills;
- Ability to work collaboratively as a key member of a team and independently with minimum supervision;
- Meticulous attention to detail, refined organizational skills and the ability to multi-task;
- Proven ability to prioritize competing requirements and deadlines under pressure;
- Must have strong computer skills and be proficient with the Microsoft Office Package.
- Bilingual French speaking is considered an asset
- Post Secondary Degree or equivalent preferred;
- Level 1 license required and/or home jurisdiction license required;
- Completion of or desire to complete at least one of the following professional designations: Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP); or Canadian Accredited Insurance Broker (CAIB) or Certified Risk Management (CRM) (Partial completion of one or more designations can be considered on an individual basis)
