This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our Vancouver or Calgary office.
Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit.
The salary range for this position is $93,500-$135,000. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity.

What the day will look likeAs a Senior Consultant in Retirement Consulting and as a leader, you will have the opportunity to contribute to Aon’s success while you:
- Lead client relationships for small to medium-sized accounts including critical thinking and problem-solving; provide strong support to senior leaders on large clients
- Understands all projects involved with a client and makes sure all needs are being met and proceeding on schedule
- Can work through larger, more complex projects with less oversight and takes responsibility for the results, including explanations, presentations, and impact
- Has mastered many technical concepts and can make reasonable interpretations of how they impact clients,
- Develop and participate in effective oral presentations for existing or prospective clients, individually or in concert with team members
- Participate in business development activities
- Proactive in both initiating and leading some discussions internally and externally
- Coordinate resources on different projects to achieve client results and collaborate on client activities with other experienced team members
- Display confidence, passion, and leadership
- Self-motivated, demonstrates the desire to continue to learn and grow, and to go outside one’s comfort zone
- Supervise, guide and mentor less experienced colleagues.
Retirement programs have large financial implications for employers. As a Senior Consultant, you will be responsible for leading and supporting passionate client teams in the management of the financial risk of their client's retirement programs.
In this role, you will work with a broad and diverse array of clients in both the public and private sectors. Collaborating with teams of colleagues you will lead and contribute to the day-to-day delivery of retirement services. You will also assist in marketing activities, take part in the development of new service offerings, and expand your skills through continued learning.
As a member of the Aon Wealth Solutions team and a leader of the business, you will also work closely with colleagues in our Commercial Risk, Health and Reinsurance Solutions businesses to bring the best of Aon to address client needs and to help give our clients the clarity and confidence to make better decisions.
Skills and experience that will lead to success- 7+ years of experience in pension plan consulting or related field
- English written and spoken
- Organization skills, rigour, and thoroughness
- Proficient MS Office software (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- A Bachelor's Degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or another other equivalent degree
- Fully qualified actuary (FSA/FCIA) desired
