Job Summary

To work within the Traffic group to provide data analysis for transportation performance metrics, data creation and maintenance for transportation, and updating/developing flow charts for existing and newly created processes and projects relative to Transportation. In addition, the Co-op student will help gate keep pertinent information coming from Transportation Vendors, Operations, Launch, Finance and Commercial teams on a regular basis.

Job Responsibilities
  • Support the supplier relation management program (SRM) integrating with our Transprotation Vendors, Indirect procurement, Traffic, GSC Operations, IS and all other related partners to ensure the successful implementation of the SRM program.
  • Create flow charts and governance documents for processes and Traffic training plans.
  • Provide support to the monthly data creation and maintenance for the Traffic group.
  • Maintenance of information coming in from Transportation vendors and integrate with Operations, Launch, Finance and commercial time on a regular basis.
  • Gather, organize and analyze information pertinent to operations and supply chain and present summary information and recommendations in project reports.
  • Assist the Traffic group in evaluating data using spreadsheets and databases, and performing quantitative/qualitative analysis.
  • Liaison with internal customers, support groups and leadership to gather required information and provide pertinent analysis.

Job Requirements
  • Education
    • Study Focus on Transportation Logistics Supply Chain or Operations Management
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
    • Demonstrated Pharmaceutical interest is an asset.
    • Strong oral and written communication skills; must be able to communicate appropriately with other employees in different positions within the company (i.e. Technicians, Managers, Coordinators etc.).
    • Strong organizational skills.
    • Attention to detail.
    • Working knowledge of Word, Excel and Power Point are essential. SAP and MS Access would also be beneficial.
  • Experience
    • Intermediate to senior level student/ 2nd, 3rd or 4th year.
