Job Summary

The Attorney General is the legal advisor to the government of British Columbia and is charged with ensuring that the administration of public affairs is carried out in accordance with the law. The Ministry of Attorney General is structured to carry out this mandate under the direction of the Attorney General, and Legal Services Branch (LSB) supports the Ministry in fulfilling this mandate by serving as legal advisor to government in civil law matters. LSB provides legal advice to government and ensures that legal risks associated with government operations are reduced. LSB’s clients include all ministries of the government, Cabinet and certain public agencies.

The Project Coordinator provides technical project management coordination functions for a variety of large-scale complex projects throughout the project management life cycle (i.e. initiation, planning, execution, control and close-out). In addition, the Project Coordinator is directly accountable for assigned portions (e.g., sub projects) of larger projects as a project team member.

Job Requirements:
• Some post-secondary education or training in the area of project management, or equivalent.
• Experience providing project management and coordination services for assigned projects.

Preference may be given to applicants with the following:
• At least one (1) year of experience managing projects or project components.
• At least one (1) year of experience working in a legal setting.

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 2 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
This position is excluded from union membership.
