The Team
The Child and Youth Health Services Team within the Provincial Services Branch collaborates with provincial partners to enhance health services for children and youth. This established team consists of a Director, a Senior Policy Analyst, and two Policy Analysts, all dedicated to making a meaningful impact. Together, we focus on important projects, such as reducing autism assessment wait times and improving pediatric palliative care, while ensuring that all voices are heard and represented. Our engaged and committed team values diversity and inclusion, creating a supportive environment for everyone involved in this crucial work.
The Role
The Project Support Specialist will support provincial and cross-ministry projects aimed at improving health services for children and youth throughout the province. Your main responsibilities will include drafting briefing materials, engaging with partners, and serving as a subject matter expert. Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Business or Public Administration, or Health Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field and a minimum of 1 year of recent related experience; OR
- Degree in Business or Public administration, or Health Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field and a minimum of 2 years recent related experience; OR
- Diploma in Business or Public administration, or Health Sciences, Social Sciences or a related field and a minimum of 4 years recent related experience; OR
- Secondary School Graduation or equivalent and a minimum of 6 years recent related experience
- Recent, related experience must include all of the following:
- Experience researching and analyzing information and providing advice and recommendations on a broad range of policy, program, and service issues.
- Experience managing projects and/or project components.
- Experience providing policy and issues-management advice and preparing briefing materials to senior executive.
- Experience working with and managing external organization interests.
Preference may be given to applicants with:
- Experience in the health care sector

About this Position:
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to 5 days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future temporary and permanent vacancies.
