Job Summary

The Digital Policy and Business Transformation Branch’s mandate is to provide strategic direction and oversight for the Ministry and post-secondary education sector in the creation and modernization of digital tools, services and learning approaches, through strategic partnerships and alliances with senior leadership within the ministry, across government, and with the post-secondary system. The branch is responsible for the Digital Services Hub and Digital Learning Strategies, both multi-year strategic programs to deliver innovative new digital service solutions and support high quality post-secondary learning opportunities.

The Client Engagement Unit, within the Digital Policy and Business Transformation Branch, is responsible for the WorkBC.ca website, including the Job Board, and all other related products and services, as well as public engagement and dissemination of, career and labour market resources. The unit works closely with a network of ministries and partners to ensure that all British Columbians have access to the information needed to plan for and achieve a successful career.

Reporting to the Product Manager, the Manager, WorkBC.ca Projects provides website and project management expertise to deliver new and enhanced products, resources and tools on WorkBC.ca. The position directs a combination of professional staff and contracted resources to achieve objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in business administration, public administration or a related field. An equivalent combination of education and professional experience may be considered.
  • A minimum of two (2) years experience managing multiple digital projects and services.
  • A minimum of one (1) year experience supervising staff and/or managing the work of consultants.

Preference may be given to applicants with one or more of the following:

  • Experience in content development, editing and proofing web content.
  • Experience using content management systems (i.e. Kentico, Drupal, CMS Lite).
  • Experience establishing collaborative relationships and partnerships with internal and external partners.
  • Experience in financial management, procurement, and contract and vendor management.
