Job Summary

The Team
CleanBC is a comprehensive plan to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 2040. A cross-ministry, multi-disciplinary product team was formed to research, design and deliver a coordinated digital experience for CleanBC services and programs. The team is taking an agile, human-centred, and evidence-based approach to support public awareness and uptake of climate related information and services via Clean BC, Go Electric BC, Better Homes BC and other related websites and services.

The team is accountable to leadership in Ministry of Environment & Climate Change, Ministry of Energy Mines and Low Carbon Innovation, Ministry of Citizen Services (Government Digital Experience) and Government Communications and Public Engagement.

The Role
The Senior Product Manager provides strategic leadership to the CleanBC Digital Experience team and cross-ministry partners. This role works closely with the product team day-to-day, and with executive and other related teams to align work across ministries and define product scope and outcomes.

The role maintains and builds new stakeholder relationships and manages budgets and governance structures for the coordinated CleanBC digital experience. It also identifies and prioritizes work according to the product vision, stakeholder goals and user needs.


Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

• Degree or diploma in a technology discipline or project management; OR
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Three (3) or more years of experience in product design while working in a product, project, or service capacity.
• Experience managing complex enterprise service design and information management/information technology projects with multiple interdependencies (including major business transformations, strategic communications, and the oversight of system integrators).
• Three (3) or more years of experience managing change and leading teams.
• Experience of current agile project management practices, open source, cloud platforms and digital services.
• Experience working in an agile, digital product- focused development environment with User Experience teams, designers, and developers to iteratively create and improve digital products and services.
• Experience with related User Experience practices and skills, including content design, content strategy and information architecture.

About this Position:
There is a temporary opportunity until March 31st, 2026. A permanent appointment may result from this temporary appointment.
