Job Summary

The Team
The Kamloops Rural Child and Youth Mental Health (CYMH) team is a welcoming and collaborative group of professionals dedicated to supporting the mental health of children, youth, and families in the rural areas surrounding Kamloops. Established two years ago, this team includes five experienced Clinicians, one Support Worker, and a Team Leader, all working together to serve a large and diverse geographic region. Partnering closely with local schools, Ministry Social Workers, and community agencies, the team plays a vital role in improving access to mental health resources for remote communities. This is a supportive and innovative environment where your contributions truly make a difference.

The Role
The Clinician provides mental health services to children, youth, and families in rural communities, offering critical supports like intake, therapy, treatment planning, and risk assessments. As a key member of the new Integrated Child and Youth (ICY) team in School District 58, you’ll collaborate closely with the health authority and the school district to deliver wraparound, accessible mental health supports. This opportunity is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys creative problem-solving, and values building meaningful community relationships. With a supportive team and diverse experiences, you’ll grow your expertise while making a tangible difference in the lives of young people and their families.
