Job Summary

The Team
The Security Investigations and Incident Response Team is an established group of seven staff, including Senior Security Specialists, Senior Security Analysts, and a Security Analyst. This team plays a critical role in safeguarding enterprise security across the entire government by managing investigations and incident response. Team members are collaborative, supportive, and open to learning, ensuring high-level client service and effective teamwork.

The Role
As the Senior Security Analyst (Forensics), you'll lead complex investigations across government and the broader public sector. You'll provide expert guidance on digital forensics, incident response, and cybersecurity trends, ensuring proper cyber-evidence collection and management. As part of this team, you'll be at the forefront of protecting government infrastructure, with opportunities to expand your knowledge of cybersecurity and make a direct impact on supporting investigative partners.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology or related discipline. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ broad IT/cyber security experience.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience handling multiple active issues in a high-pressure environment.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience in incident management and incident response.
  • Minimum two (2) years’ experience with current and emerging technology trends, developments and best security industry best practices, current risks and developing threats; IT systems and systems maintenance.
  • Experience with TCP/IP and networking fundamentals, network architecture, and security infrastructure's best practices.
  • Experience with creating custom code/procedures using industry standard programming languages (e.g., Python or a JVM based language such as Java or Scala).


Preference may be given to applicants with:

  • Additional years of experience in the above.
  • Experience with forensic analysis, including performing static and dynamic analyses of suspect malware.
  • Experience with leadership in a staffing or project situation.
  • Experience using mobile computing assets and forensic equipment.
  • Security related certification such as CISSP, CHE, GCIH, GCFE or GCFA.

About this Position:

This position can be based out of any of the locations listed above.
Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to four (4) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
