HR Workday Analyst

Your Opportunity

The HR Workday Analyst is responsible for the configuration, implementation, and maintenance of the Workday Human Capital Management (HCM) system. This role involves collaborating with various teams to ensure the Workday system meets organizational needs and enhances overall efficiency. The Workday Analyst will provide expertise in system troubleshooting, data analysis, and process optimization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Configuration and Maintenance:
    • Configure and maintain Workday modules such as HCM, Learning, Advanced Compensation, Time Off and Leave, Recruiting, and Talent Management.
    • Ensure system functionality aligns with business requirements and processes.
    • Perform regular system audits and data integrity checks.
  • User Support and Training:
    • Provide ongoing support and training to end-users, ensuring they understand system functionalities and processes.
    • Develop and maintain user documentation, training materials, and job aids.
    • Provide end-user support with troubleshooting, and issue remediation. Research problems. Identify opportunities and seek opinions and feedback on suggested solutions, with escalation management to the Workday Second Level Support team as required.
  • Project Management:
    • Participate in Workday implementation projects, including requirement gathering, system design, testing, and deployment.
    • Manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance system efficiency and user experience.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and ensure best practices are followed.
    • Participate in semi-annual Workday release review process.
    • Research and keep up to date on new Workday functionality to make recommendations for adoption road map.
  • Reporting:
    • Create reports, including calculated fields, to be used for reporting, business processes, troubleshooting, etc.
  • Other Responsibilities:
    • Perform regular follow up on outstanding Workday tasks.
    • Maintain Workday HR related announcements and scheduled alerts
    • Manage HR data uploads to Workday requiring EIB’s.
    • Maintain HR MYBDO content.
    • Maintain HR SharePoint by regularly reviewing to ensure content is up to date and well organized.

Your experience and education

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • You have 3 years of experience working with Workday HCM, including system configuration, Root Cause Analysis, and administration.
  • You have a strong understanding of HR processes and workflows
  • You have experience with Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • You have experience with report writing and calculated fields would be an asset
  • You have experience with Workday integrations would be an asset
  • You have excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • You have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • You have the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
