Your Opportunity

Our National office is looking for an Instructional Designer to join the Learning & Development team. The Instructional Designer will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and delivering high-quality, multimedia-rich learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating engaging, learner-centric solutions that leverage the latest in video production, eLearning, AI, and graphic design. With a proven track record of success in the L&D industry, this role requires a blend of instructional design expertise, creativity, and a deep understanding of adult learning principles and technology-enhanced learning solutions.

Your skills and accountabilities

  • Using rapid authoring tools like Articulate and Vyond, develop learning solutions and assets that align to technical and graphic standards.
  • Have an in-depth understanding of UX design processes and best practices to ensure learning experiences are user-friendly and engaging.
  • Be knowledgeable in virtual facilitation tools to enhance engagement and collaboration during VILT sessions.
  • Focus on the integration of emerging technologies, simulations, gamifications and adaptive learning principles into the learning experience.
  • Stay current with emerging trends and technologies related to L&D, UXD and LXD including AI , video production, and graphic design, and integrate innovative solutions into the learning experience design.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of instructional design principles and practices, including the ADDIE model, adult learning principles, interactive learning design, and blended learning techniques.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to design and develop interactive and engaging learning experiences, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training (VILT), blended learning programs, video content, and support guides.
  • Employ design thinking principles to craft immersive and engaging learning experiences that extend beyond traditional instructional content.
  • Act as a strategic team member to analyze learning needs of clients and collaborate with stakeholders to define learning objectives and goals.
  • Conduct needs assessments and learner analysis to identify skill gaps and learning needs.
  • Analyze feedback and learning data to continuously improve learning programs and ensure they are meeting desired outcomes.

Your experience and education

  • You have 3-5 years experience in Instructional Design and/or Learning & Development.
  • You have 3-5 years in hands-on development of learning solutions in all modalities
  • You have advanced skills with the following development tools: Articulate Storyline and Rise, and Vyond (additional skills in adobe creative suite or other professional design tools or video production tools would be an asset but not required)
  • You have practical experience designing learning solutions end-to-end.
  • You have the ability to collaborate with others and manage a creative development process.
  • You have good interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written and presentation).
  • Bilingual in English and French is an asset but not required.
  • You have a curious mindset, strong critical thinking, and sense-making skills to continuously drive innovation in our learning and development practices.
  • You are focused on providing an exceptional client experience.
  • You have a learning mindset.
