Your Opportunity

BDO Canada’s BSO-Strategy & Communications team is seeking a Specialist, Corporate Projects to join our growing team in either Toronto or Calgary. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop and design impactful firm-wide communication and messaging, as well as take ownership of the following responsibilities:

  • Support the Business Services & Outsourcing service line, sub-service line, and industry teams by developing high-quality content that aligns to strategies and objectives.
  • Produce a variety of engaging content for both internal and external audiences, including articles, reports, blogs, social media content, video/audio scripts/recordings, web copy, ads, infographics, webinars, podcasts, and other types of content.
  • Create engaging PPT presentations for senior leadership to deliver high-value corporate communications and messaging to a variety of audiences (junior staff through to board level leadership).
  • Develop detailed internal messaging campaign assets using advanced skills in Microsoft suite, adobe software, or other editing and design tools.
  • Take ownership of each stage of the content development & design process, from ideation to final delivery.
  • Enforce the international BDO network’s corporate visual identity standards, including consistency of look and feel in design and writing styles.

Your Experience and Education:

  • University degree in English, journalism, communications, public relations, marketing, design, or a related field combined with 2-3 years of related experience.
  • Exceptional writing, proofreading, and editing skills, with strong attention to detail.
  • Experience developing a variety of content (videos, YouTube shorts, social media reels/stories/posts, podcasts, professional decks, reports, blogs, etc.).
  • Experience with technologies related to content and design, such as Microsoft suite, expert-level PPT, Adobe suite, MAGLR, Canva, or related software.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills, with experience creating and following content workback schedules, prioritizing workload, and managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Self-starter, motivated, and able to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment.
