Your mission should you accept it:
We are looking for an experienced Cost Controller to join our team in charge of the wind farm construction project. The main role is to monitor and control costs associated with the project, ensuring compliance with budget and deadlines while optimizing financial resources. The Cost Controller will play a key role in the financial management of the Beaupré, Des Neiges Wind project, working closely with project management teams, suppliers and internal stakeholders to identify variances, analyze trends and propose corrective actions.

- Bachelor's degree/college training in civil, mechanical or construction engineering or any other relevant experience.
- Minimum 2 years' experience in cost control, ideally in the construction sector, renewable energies or complex industrial projects.
- Good command of project management tools (MS Project, etc.) and accounting software (Excel, SAP, CMIC, etc.).
- Advanced knowledge of the Excel tool and its functionalities.
- Knowledge of financial standards and regulations specific to infrastructure projects, particularly in the energy sector.
- Ability to analyze complex financial data and provide clear and concise reports.
- Rigor, organization, analytical skills and good communication.
What you will do to complete this mission successfully:
- Control and monitor detailed budgets for each phase of the wind construction project.
- Manage the staff of accounting technicians who work directly under the supervision of the Cost Controller.
- Monitor the evolution of expenses and analyze deviations from the forecast budget.
- Identify financial risks and propose actions to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with project management teams, engineers and suppliers to ensure accurate cost tracking.
- Prepare monthly project cost status reports and provide detailed analyzes to management.
- Implement cost management tools and methods adapted to the specificities of a wind construction project.
- Track costs related to equipment acquisition, labor and external services.
- Carry out short and medium term cost forecasts and adjust the forecasts according to the evolution of the project.
- Participate in the preparation of financial audits and answer questions from auditors.
