Enterprise Data Management Lead

BRP is looking for a Data and Technologies Lead, EDM to join our Enterprise Data Management (EDM) team in supporting data migration activities and technologies who will be tasked with administering the data migration best practices and methodology to establish a foundation to ensure successful projects with quality, efficiency, and timeliness. We are looking for a motivated person who thrives in a dynamic and challenging environment, excels at guiding teams to a successful go-live, who has no problem switching between multiple programming languages, and who is able to find out-of-the-box solutions to solve complex problems. In this role, you will be at the heart of the definition and implementation of world-class data management solutions, and you will contribute to set data as a strategic advantage for BRP.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Analyze data sources and requirements to develop a comprehensive migration plan. 
  • Design and document migration workflows, data mappings, and transformation rules.  
  • Ensure alignment with business requirements, technical specifications, and migration methodologies.
  • Develop and execute integrated migration test plans and establish a plan to resolve any issues identified.
  • Work closely with stakeholders, including project managers, project leadership, business partners, data stewards, functional teams, and integration teams to ensure smooth migration processes and timely project delivery.
  • Provide guidance to the migration team on migration methodology, best practices, and code review, along with managing deliverable and milestone dates.
  • Design, develop, implement and support robust migration strategies and solutions
  • Coordinate with the migration, development, leadership, and functional  teams to achieve delivery objectives
  • Provide support in requirements definition, estimation, development and delivery of robust, repeatable,  and scalable projects
  • Be a leader in data management best-practices definition and creative thinking

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • 8-10+ years relevant migration or development related work experience.
  • Solid and demonstrated experience with:
    • Data data migration ETL, including extraction, cleansing, transformation, loading, validation, and remediation from various legacy source systems to target systems.
    • A strong sense of awareness and prioritization; problem solving and analytical skills to safeguard data integrity, security, and organization.
    • Developing complex SQL queries - Fluent in writing, executing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
  • Leadership skills to oversee and execute the data migration plan and collaboration with project PMO to ensure deliverables are met.
  • Understand and implement migration strategies, validation strategies, and mock plans to develop solid migration deliverables.
  • Expertise in translating complex business requirements to enable other data engineers to understand and transform the data in the most direct and efficient manner.
  • Experience in working within an agile team to work towards common data management solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal relations, motivated and loves to work on multiple challenging projects
  • Open-minded and able to adapt to new ways of working
  • Well organized and able to self-prioritize, sometimes with conflictual deadlines
  • Continuously seeks for improvements and craves to put hands on new technologies
  • Experience working within a complex organizational environment.
