Functional Analyst, eCommerce

We are looking for an experienced eCommerce Functional Analyst to join our ever-evolving team working in a fast-paced and exciting environment out of BRP’s Montreal downtown office. Reporting to the eCommerce technology team lead, the functional analyst will be responsible for actively participating in the writing of functional and business requirements within BRP’s Direct to Consumer (D2C) Commerce team. The functional analyst will be responsible for supporting both the application management and day-to-day application solution support teams throughout the development cycle; from requirement gathering to production defect investigation and support.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Actively participate in the writing of initial business and technical requirements, alongside project/solution partners.
  • Contribute to key decisions on product, tools, and method selection, providing input on industry trends. Ensure decisions/solutions are in-line with the product/technology vision and are scalable.
  • Participate in the scoping, design, configuration, testing, and go-live of cross-functional projects/solutions and continuous improvement initiatives, alongside product owners and stakeholders.
  • Act as the owner of best practices. Ensure the proper documentation and sharing of technical/industry standards and best practices with internal project delivery and application support teams.
  • Confirm that technical specifications match business requirements. Supervise and guide key resources for development and SIT/UAT testing phases.
  • Govern the transition and handoff from the project delivery team to the application support team. Support in the development and delivery of required documentation and end-user training for the application support team.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • A university degree in computer science, business technology, or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in an enterprise technology environment.
  • A demonstrated capability to analyze business and technical requirements and develop solutions to address requirements.
  • A proven track record of successfully working with complex systems and enterprise APIs.
  • The ability to constantly adapt and perform in ever-evolving retail environments and business realities.
  • The ability to perform an active role in internal and external brainstorming and management meetings to bring our technical solutions to the next level.
  • A dynamic, innovative and problem resolution focus with strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • The ability to work in French and English (written and oral) a must.
  • Proven experience in retail technology space is a strong asset.

ASSETS:

  • Experience working with a commerce CMS such as Magento Commerce, Shopify, Big Commerce, SalesForce Commerce, or other.
  • Experience working with an OMS such as Manhattan Omni, Kibo Commerce, or other.
  • Experience working within an ERP such as SAP S4, SAP ECC, or other.
  • Experience working with a reputable payment provider such as Braintree, PayPal, or other.
  • Experience working with an emailing platform such as Adobe Campaign, MailChimp, or other.
