NPD Method Specialist

We are looking for a New Product Development (NPD) Method Specialist who will report to the Manufacturing Strategy group and who will be tasked with supporting vehicle development activities. In your new role, you will significantly contribute to BRP’s new products deployment while maintaining the necessary elements to continue our lean journey.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Actively participate to products design review in early development stages to influence the products and components concepts to ensure manufacturing feasibility and identify the future requirements for equipment, fixture and tooling.
  • Communicate the new products manufacturing requirements to production sites located in Mexico as soon as the very early stages of development.
  • Participate to the prioritization of the equipment, fixture and tooling to be validated during development stages with the collaboration of the manufacturing sites and BRP’s teams.
  • Act as responsible for equipment, fixture and tooling prototypes validations activities. Including: Scope of work definitions, initial designs, supplier selection, development and fabrication follow ups, budget and payments management, virtual and physical validations.
  • Create, promote and secure a collaborative culture between the different teams involved in the vehicle development.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Industrial or Mechanical Engineering bachelor’s degree with proven experience in related fields. (3 Years +)
  • French and English proficiency required to ensure international communications, Spanish would be an asset.
  • 3D Design proficiency required to ensure department autonomy for design review preparations, fixture and tooling initial designs.
  • Experience in project management required to secure projects scopes, timelines and budgets are respected.
  • Strong collaboration, adaptability and communication skills with the ability to influence multidisciplinary and multicultural partners.

Position based in Valcourt and requires availability to travel frequently. (4 to 6 times a year).
