Technician Textile Accessories Development

The Textile Accessories Development Technician will be responsible for working with the Textile Accessories Development team to create and produce a wide and varied range of products to meet the specific needs of our vehicles. The Textile Accessory Developer will create the necessary documents for the development of textile products, produce prototypes and actively participate in reflection on the viability of products within the framework of specific requirements. 

In this position, the developer will report to the project managers and will be responsible for monitoring product development, as well as being a privileged contact with our various collaborators (designers, suppliers and manufacturers). The person will also be responsible for meeting manufacturing deadlines, quality control and delivery of samples and finished products.

YOU'LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

  • Pattern design for sample production.
  • Create placements dedicated to cutting and consumption calculations.
  • Produce and assemble prototypes
  • Inspect and monitor samples during development
  • Create tech packs and various technical documents required for product development communication.  
  • Participate in the development of new textile materials and manufacturing processes.

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

  • Master the mechanics and manufacturing processes of a textile accessory
  • Good general knowledge of textiles and their manufacturing processes
  • Ability to sew and assemble samples of various textile products such as: backpacks, luggage, footwear, sportswear, technical clothing, boat canvas, canvas and other textile products dedicated
  • to the transportation industry, upholstery and furniture covering...etc.)
  • Ability to support research and development of new textiles, follow-up with laboratories
  • Excellent communication skills in French (written and verbal) and English (written). *English is required as the person will be contacting partners and suppliers abroad.
