As an Engineering Student you will have the opportunity to work in either our Exploitation or Production Engineering team, applying your skills in reservoir characterization, well design, production optimization, and field development planning while also gaining knowledge of surface facilities and production operations. This is a unique chance to learn and work alongside experienced professionals, gain a comprehensive understanding of the conventional oil and gas industry, and contribute to the success of our operations.

  • Term length: 8 or 12 months
  • Term start: September 2025
  • Job location: Calgary, AB - Head Office
  • Shift schedule: 5 days on, 2 days off, working Monday to Friday
  • Safety sensitive position: Yes

Key Accountabilities:

  • Obtain baseline engineering experience and exposure in a wide variety of tasks while working with multidisciplinary teams in a fast paced environment
  • Participate in inactive/active well file reviews
  • Review completions, recompletions, well drilling, and historical information for understanding well performance
  • Perform optimization research for increased production
  • Provide technical support of data analysis and assistance for the preparation of various applications
  • Execute small projects related to production and exploitation
  • Research, recommend and evaluate completions/workovers to maximize the Company’s oil production

What You Bring to The Role:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's of Engineering degree program in Chemical, Mechanical, Petroleum Engineering, or a related field preferred (All other engineering disciplines will be considered)
  • Interest in both reservoir and production engineering principles.
  • Good knowledge of the basics of Excel and analytical skills
  • Strong work ethic and positive aptitude
  • Responsible attitude towards safety, demonstrate leadership and enjoy problem solving
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license
  • A pre-employment drug and alcohol test must successfully be complete
