  • Shift schedule: 8 x 6 - 12 hours, except days 1 & 8 are 6 hours per shift

Key Accountabilities:
  • Explore Industrial Automation; A unique opportunity to apply your Software Engineering or Data Science skills in the field of Industrial Automation.
  • Hands-On Experience; Work with Distributed Control Systems (DCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), and Human Machine Interface (HMI) Development.
  • Develop Custom Windows Applications to interact with the Control System to meet the needs of the business unit.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making; Engage in data analysis to find correlations, develop Model Based Control (MPC), and uncover cost-saving and process stability opportunities.
  • Learn Industrial Protocols; Gain experience with industrial protocols like Modbus, Ethernet I/P, and OPC.
  • Work with a Dynamic Team Environment; Collaborate within a dynamic team that values innovation and continuous learning.

What You Bring to The Role:

  • Currently enrolled in your 3rd, or 4th year of an engineering degree program, bachelors of science:
    • Computer Engineering
    • Software Engineering
    • Computer Science
    • Data Science
    • Information Technology
    • Electrical Engineering with a minor in Computer Engineering
  • Strong eagerness for acquiring new knowledge, coupled with a genuine enthusiasm for everything related to digital technology, computer hardware and programming. 
  • Basic understanding of Active Directory, Domain Administration, Large Networks, VLANs, and Firewall administration is a plus.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as TypeScript, VB, C#, C, SQL, CLI, Python, and PowerShell.
  • Interest in Machine Learning, Data Analysis, and Custom Windows Applications development.
  • Exposure to WPF, .Net, .Net Framework, Custom Algorithms, Big Data, API integration, and related concepts.
  • Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license 
  • Strong mechanical aptitude is an asset
