The opportunity

Join our dynamic team as a Commission Analyst, championing the Sales Incentive Plan (SIP)/Commission Programs for all CWB Wealth employees that participate in SIP Programs. You will be responsible for completing precise calculations, achieving prompt payments, and conducting confidential reporting. Acting as the go-to resource, you will ensure the sales team satisfaction and support Finance with commission accounting and reporting.

What you’ll be doing

  • Execute SIP processes, including preparation of the SIP calculations, for CWB Wealth’s Portfolio Managers, Financial Planners and Wealth Advisors.
  • Become familiar with key terms of the SIP programs.
  • Receive and review data to support the sales commission calculations.
  • Reconcile accounts, capturing monthly financial accruals.
  • Confirm correct accounting coding and tags.
  • Audit and validate manual commission requests.
  • Prepare and process ad-hoc SIP adjustments.
  • Prepare, review, and validate various reports and distribute monthly SIP statements.
  • Prepare SIP entries and account reconciliations.
  • Submit approved SIP calculations to Payroll team within required timelines., and reconcile actual payroll payments to accounting system and accrued liabilities.
  • Deliver SIP reports to key stakeholders.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies promptly.

Who we’re looking for & what you’ve done

  • Post secondary degree or diploma in business, accounting, human resources or another related field.
  • Two or more years experience working with Sales Incentive Plans.
  • Two or more years experience completing accounting and other reconciliations.
  • Demonstrated competence in supporting key areas of business processes and corporate finance, management, and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of the sales function, and key reports and processes that are key data inputs into a Sales Incentive Plan.
  • Strong experience and skills with Microsoft Excel and working with high volumes of data.
  • Understanding of internal controls and documentation related to Sales Incentive Plans and calculations.
