AMI Go-to-Market (GTM) Sales Lead
We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Go-to-Market (GTM) Sales Lead to drive our Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) initiatives in the utilities sector. This individual will spearhead our AMI-focused sales strategy, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and play a pivotal role in shaping and expanding our market presence.
The ideal candidate brings deep knowledge of AMI technologies, a strong track record of B2B solution selling in the utilities space, and the ability to cocreate solutions with clients and partners.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a targeted go-to-market strategy for AMI solutions across North America.
- Own the sales lifecycle from opportunity identification to closure in the smart metering and utility modernization space.
- Identify and engage new clients while expanding relationships with existing utility customers.
- Lead RFP responses, proposals, and bid strategies tailored to AMI opportunities.
- Work closely with product, marketing, solution architects, and delivery teams to align sales strategies with customer needs and regulatory requirements.
- Track market trends, competitive positioning, and client needs to adjust GTM plans accordingly.
- Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and client engagements to enhance visibility and brand awareness.
- Partner with ecosystem players including OEMs, utility regulators, smart grid providers, and consultants.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales, business development, or GTM roles within the energy/utilities sector.
Strong knowledge of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), smart meters, data management, and regulatory standards. - Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets in complex, solution-based selling environments.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Understanding of utility operations, smart grid technologies, and digital transformation trends in energy.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams across marketing, pre-sales, and delivery.
- Ability to travel to client sites and industry events as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with digital transformation initiatives or consulting in the utilities sector.
- Familiarity with major AMI vendors (e.g., Itron, Landis+Gyr, Sensus, Honeywell) and software platforms.
- Existing relationships with utility executives and decision-makers.
- Prior involvement in launching new AMI products or services to market.
