Job description:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Client Partner with expertise in the Utilities sector to join our team. As a client partner, you will be responsible for cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with key utilities clients, understanding their needs, and delivering strategic IT solutions that drive business value.

Location: Calgary/Vancouver

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain deep understanding and expertise in the Utilities and Energy sectors, with a focus on D/E (Distribution and Energy) and OT (Operational Technology) tech.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing strategic guidance on Technology solutions that align with their business objectives.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to shape and understand project requirements, ensuring the delivery of innovative and effective solutions.
  • Identify new business opportunities within existing client accounts and drive growth through upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to effectively position our offerings and differentiate our services.
  • Lead client engagement activities, including presentations, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
  • Serve as a liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Drive customer satisfaction and retention by delivering exceptional service and exceeding client expectations.
  • Contribute to the development of marketing collateral, case studies, and thought leadership content to showcase our expertise and success stories in the Utilities and Energy sectors.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a client-facing role within the Engineering / OT industry, with a focus on serving clients in the Utilities sector of western Canada, preferably utilities clients in British Columbia
  • Strong knowledge of OT application landscape for Utilities, including familiarity with industry-specific technologies and standards.
  • Strong hands-on experience in actual transformation program pre-sales with proven track record of building and maintaining relationships with key clients, driving revenue growth, and achieving business targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-centric mindset and a passion for delivering innovative solutions that address client needs.
  • Self-motivated team player with strong leadership capabilities and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
