ROLE SUMMARY:
The primary role of the Application Administration Technician is to support our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) suite from Skytech (Clara, Omnivox) used by the administrative staff and the LMS (Learning Management System) pedagogical tools (Lea, Moodle, Teameo, Mahara, WeBWorK) used by the teachers. The Application Administration will be a team of 3 people. The expertise of the different software is distributed across the team with a main and backup person for each area. We are looking for someone in expertise in one of those applications.

DUTIES:
As part of their duties, the Application Administration Technician:
  • Investigates the technical feasibility and safety of requested digital educational and administration tools.
  • Contributes to discussions on technical considerations when planning, implementing, & evaluating new teaching & administration technologies.Offers on-site technical troubleshooting to the user community: staff and teachers with the products and related add-ins.
  • Contacts and works with the software vendor to resolve issues.
  • Assists teachers with the functionality and usage of the Teameo console for creation of MS Teams and Moodle courses.
  • Executes day-to-day standard operating procedures such as:
  1. Onboard new staff in Clara and assign to pre-defined security roles and financial functions.
  2. Make necessary adjustments in Clara and Omnivox according to movement of personnel.
  3. Grant access to Omnivox modules to staff.
  4. Reset password and unlock accounts for users.
  • Ensures the security rules and policies are maintained in the software tools.
  • Works with the analyst inside the group on enhancements and implementation of new modules and functionalities.
  • Provides assistance to technicians assigned to 1st level support in their area of expertise.
  • Creates, drafts and maintains up-to-date documentation and user guides on Application Administration software and procedures.
  • Performs occasional maintenance outside of normal working hours.
  • If need be, perform any other related tasks.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
  • Must have a minimum of a college diploma (DEC) with an appropriate field of specialization (Computer Science Techniques) or a diploma whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority.
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience relevant to the duties of the position.
  • Must have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • A good knowledge of English is essential (written, spoken and comprehension) and functional French is required.

SALARY RANGE (PER HOUR):
27.01$ - 38.87$
