About this opportunity:
We are currently seeking a Field Operator for our Sand Creek Field Operations located in Drayton Valley. This position is a full-time, permanent role working a shift of 8 days on / 6 days off for 10 hours per day. Reporting to the Operations Coordinator, the primary focus of this position is to oversee the day-to-day operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of producing oil and gas wells and related field equipment.

This is a full-time employee position working a shift of 8 days on 6 days off, 10 hours per day, starting on Wednesdays
What you’ll do:
Ensure the safe and effective operation of high and low pressure oil and gas wells and field facilities
Uphold a strong dedication to safety and personal responsibility for the safety of others
Perform daily field tasks, including pipeline pigging, site inspections, compressor logging, and plunger inspections
Supervise SCADA systems to ensure production targets are achieved
Troubleshoot operational issues and recognize abnormal operating conditions of equipment
Evaluate process conditions to optimize efficiency and ensure compliance with established procedures and standards
Issue safe work permits and participate in the planning of both routine and non-routine tasks
Conduct minor maintenance, field housekeeping, and communicate hazards optimally with team members while accepting on-call duty as required
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Minimum of 8+ years of operating or related industry experience with a high school diploma
Effective communication, organizational, and team skills complemented with a strong work ethic and a dedication to health, safety, and environmental standards
Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions for extended periods.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong mechanical background and related industry training or technical trade
Assets include 4th Class or Fired Process Heater Operator Ticket, Gas Process Operations (GPO) or Production Field Operations (PFO) levels A, B, C, & D
Valid industry safety tickets (First Aid, CPR, TDG, WHMIS, and H2S certifications) are also considered assets

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
