About this opportunity:
We are looking for a Program Planner to support the Well Delivery Program Integration Team. Reporting to the Program Planning Manager, this role will be responsible for leading and updating project schedules, compiling performance reports, and ensuring effective communication of project status to the team. The ideal candidate will, have a strong understanding of Cenovus' operations, and demonstrate excellent communication, facilitation, and attention to detail. We're looking for someone with a desire to learn, curiosity to challenge the status quo, and the ability to maintain standardized practices within the team.
What you’ll do:
Functional reporting to the Well Delivery Program Planning Manager with accountability to maintain standard methodologies within the Well Delivery Program Integration team and the Sustaining Capital Program Manager supporting the project
Work with project management, execution teams, enabling functions, and business opportunity management to develop integrated multi team project schedules that align to project scope and objectives, as well as engage weekly with collaborators to maintain coordination with Primavera P6 schedules and provide interim updates/scenario developments
Optimize the project schedule to reflect the appropriate level of detail to support project planning and execution, cost forecasting, and interface management, and ensure project schedules are coded by work breakdown structure and project requirements
Ensure schedule logic is accurate, activities are achievable and that all schedule changes handled through the change management system are in line with Project Controls procedures, as well as identify and drive resolution where there are schedule inconsistencies
Set up, facilitate and lead meetings with different subject areas in a timely and efficient manner, as well as coordinate with Project Managers, the Execution team, and Enabling functions to ensure schedules are integrated across multiple programs
Support project management reporting including cost and schedule updates as well as Compilation and review of monthly project / program report for Well Delivery and Program management
Maintain Project Organizational change, trend logs and approval documentation, as well as track risk as it applies to trend identification and coordination of risk reviews with an ability to apply lessons learned to future year programs
Prepare and provide analysis for project execution dashboards and performance reports, as well as monitoring of critical metrics, project progress, project costs, project changes and risk all the while focusing on improvements and efficiencies where applicable
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Hold a degree or technical diploma
8+ years of Oil and Gas experience preferably with Drilling programs
8+ years of Project Planning using Primavera P6
8+ years of experience in multiple Project Controls teams (cost, risk, change management)
Well-developed communicator, with strong interpretation skills and a consistent record to facilitate, and work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team
