Senior Reservoir Engineer

About this opportunity:

Reporting to The Chief Reservoir Engineer the Senior Reservoir Engineer's main purpose is to expand the number of people in the organization with specialist geomechanics skills as this is an area where we are shorthanded. The successful candidate will be required to do geomechanical data gathering, geomechanical and SAGD simulations, geomechanical testing design, execution supervision and interpretation. We are seeking someone with a confirmed history of experience in this type of work.

What you’ll do:

• Provide comprehensive geomechanical support across the organization to help distribute the workload and assist our small team in this area

• Interact with all asset teams requiring geomechanics support

• Accountable for producing testing and modeling results to ensure that we are operating safely and meeting regulatory requirements

• Will work closely with more senior staff but encouraged to work fairly independently with limited oversight

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

• Legally authorized to work in Canada

• Bachelors degree in engineering, science or related subject area

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) accredited with APEGA or APEGS

• Have a minimum of 8+ years of related experience

• Experience applying geomechanics knowledge and principals to thermal recovery processes
