CAMH is currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director to join our team to lead the Northern Partnerships, Virtual Care & ECHO Services portfolio. The Director will play a key role in leading CAMH to supporting equity in access to quality mental health services and capacity-building with northern, remote and/or underserved communities, including northern partnerships in Ontario and Nunavut.
The services offered in the portfolio include:
Reporting to the Senior Vice-President, Clinical Care, and working closely with executive committee members of psychiatry partnerships with Ontario, Nunavut and ECHO, the Director will provide leadership and oversight to the strategic directions of the services, support interestholder engagement and collaboration, and plan and support implementation of the strategic plans, operational workplans and key quality improvement initiatives. The Director, works closely with Medical leadership of Northern Partnerships, Virtual Mental Health and ECHO.
Key leadership initiatives for the Director will include:
The successful candidate will have a Master’s Degree in a related field (e.g. Business, Healthcare Administration, Public Administration, Healthcare, Population Health) and 7+ years of progressive management experience in a unionized environment, working with various size teams and progressively larger and more complex projects in healthcare. Experience and expertise in leading teams and managing complex healthcare operations, virtual mental health and hybrid care initiatives with OTN and Webex platforms, including related policy development is required. Further demonstrated commitment to education and professional development in health equity, cultural safety, project management and collaborative leadership is preferred. Experience working with diverse governments and community organizations at senior levels is considered an asset. Bilingualism (French), or proficiency in other languages is an asset.
The Director, Northern Partnerships, Virtual Care and ECHO is a strong collaborator who builds partnerships and is proficient in working across the organization to inspire and achieve outcomes. The Director has excellent analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to navigate challenging situations, where information is difficult to obtain, complex or ambiguous. Knowledge and experience working with system partners including Ontario Health, Departments of Psychiatry at Ontario-based medical schools, University Health Network, Ministry of Health, Government of Nunavut, Ontario Psychiatric Outreach Program network, ECHO Ontario Program Managers network, and Shkaabe Makwa is an asset.
