We are seeking a Senior Project Manager who has demonstrated their ability to lead large-scale programs which include development and implementation projects to complex IT environments.

You will excel at coordinating both CGI and Client Teams while you routinely troubleshoot delivery issues and assign responsibilities to keep both CGI and the client Teams on schedule.

You live in the day-to-day details as you identify, align and track issues through to resolution.

Coordinating teams across multiple time zones will be as important as your participation in scrum ceremonies, governance through to risk tracking and resolution.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Use your first-hand experience in project management to align delivery activities while managing training programs for your client are exemplary.
• Oversee organizational change activities that align with the target operational model as you partner with both CGI and client constituents.
• Plan, coordinate, and report on all activities to ensure project objectives are met.
• Your management of project activities, to achieve results through the implementation of CGI’s quality assurance processes is delivered to the standard of the QA Manager.
• Manage scrum teams associated with the initiative, providing guidance and oversight, while connecting and collaborating with team leads and Scrum Masters.
• Live within the necessary business routine to manage projects using MS tools to - coordinate project plans, create work plans, risk logs, communications plans, issue logs as outlined in the Statements of Work and associated Change Requests for your international client.
• Balance the management of projects by mitigating risks and defining resolution plans for addressing issues, proactively managing risks and issues.
• Deliver expected project margin and profitability.
• Obtain engagement and approvals by all players: clients, team members and vendors.
• Effective client relationship management, ability to deal with partners at all levels of the organization, including client executives with professionalism and discretion.
• Obtain, validate, and understand the cost models and project profit margins for all assigned projects.
• Define the functional structure of the project; prepare work plans for planning and scheduling of required resources.
• Ensure projects are auditable and audit-ready, and adhere to CGI policy and contractual requirements.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• 10+ years of Project Management experience within IT and agile.
• Proven experience working with multiple clients on IT project-based initiatives.
• Excellent skills and knowledge of servant leadership, facilitation, situational awareness, conflict resolution, continual improvement, empowerment, and growing transparency.
• Superb communication and presentation skills in providing pertinent and detailed information to clients and delivery / operational teams.
• You have worked with QA practitioners and understand software development lifecycles.
• Experience managing a team within the execution of the quality assurance process.
• Strong software development lifecycle experience in addition to continuous delivery and/or deployment.
• Experience working with test-driven development (TDD) or Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Maintains a passion for quality in the face of adversity and consistent challenges.

Desired Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience coordinating and facilitating information sessions, working sessions, and Steering Committees.
• Familiarity with the retail, manufacturing, and peripheral sectors

Education and Certification
• Bachelor in Computer Science, Masters in Project Management or equivalent.
• Certified Project Manager (PMP) certification.

Location: onsite, Vancouver, BC

CGI is required by law in some jurisdictions to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The determination of this range includes various factors including but not limited to skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licensure and certification. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range in British Columbia is $80,000 - $140,000.
