Senior QA Lead

Position Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior QA Lead. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing test data, reporting, and defect management to ensure the highest quality of our software products.

This role is hybrid and requires you to be in our downtown Toronto office (250 Yonge Street) / client office 2-3 times per week - subject to change at any time.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

1. Test Data Management:

o Develop and maintain test data sets to support various testing scenarios.
o Ensure the availability and integrity of test data throughout the testing lifecycle.
o Collaborate with development and testing teams to identify and resolve test data issues.

2. Reporting:

o Generate and distribute regular reports on testing progress, defect status, and quality metrics.
o Create detailed test reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
o Analyze test results and provide insights to improve testing processes and product quality.

3. Defect Management:

o Track and manage defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
o Work closely with development teams to prioritize and resolve defects.
o Ensure accurate documentation and communication of defect status and resolution.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience:

o Proven experience in test data management, reporting, and defect management.
o Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and tools.
o Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, HP ALM).

• Technical Skills:

o Proficiency in SQL and database management.
o Familiarity with reporting tools and techniques.
o Knowledge of defect tracking systems and processes.

• Soft Skills:

o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
o Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
o Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
o Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
