We are seeking talented Senior SDET's to join a team that is building responsive web designs for our client. You will be expected to work as a member of a high functioning Scrum team to help drive the next generation user experiences for our client. Since SDET is a mix of a developer as well as an automation tester, you will be an ideal candidate if you had both a QA quality mindset and proficient software development skills background
Join this exciting new initiative
• Work as an Agile team member to provide solutions to User Stories (requirements) including automated test scenarios
• Participate in understanding and refinement of User Stories, QA related tasks and test cases, and functional automation
• Participate in product demos at iteration reviews
• Log defects/issues and work with team members to ensure resolution
• Participate in defect triage
• Participate in production release deployment verification on a regular cadence
• 15+ years of experience as a Quality Software Engineer with a diverse set of skills
• Experience and in depth knowledge of both QA Engineering and Software Development
• Proven ability in software development skills and practices including but not limited to design patterns, Object- Oriented Design and Development, Software design principles, Coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes,
• Must have developed frameworks from scratch with proficiency in Java-Selenium-Rest Assured-BDD/Cucumber.
• 8 plus years experience in Selenium automation framework (Java based) out of 15 years at minimum
• Experience or understanding of Agile software development methodology using Scrum
• Understanding of QA engineering, analysis, and testing concepts
• Understanding the concepts of defect tracking tools and processes
• Computer Science degree or coursework, or software development experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must.
• Highly collaborative team player that works well within a cross functional team.
• Strong problem identification and solving skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset where mistakes and failure are viewed as opportunities to learn and improve.
• Understanding of the benefits of sustainable development including a good work-life balance
• Is driven by a QA mindset that the product is already broken - it has defects and flaws and it is your job (along with your team members) to find them
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
• Strong communication skills (technical descriptions and diagramming, escalation, written, in-person, adaptive as appropriate to the audience, etc.).
• “Strong opinions, lightly held” - Willingness to own, research, and argue your points of view, bring new ideas to the table, but deliver according to consensus and expectations.
Required Level of Education (include certifications):
• University degree in IT discipline with equivalent experience.
• Formal Certification in relevant subjects will be nice to have.
