Position Description:

CGI has a great opportunity for a co-op student to work with our Senior Program Leadership team, Quality Assurance Team, and project managers!
The ideal candidate will work and assist with small but extremely important tasks and will learn testing process, testing management, and modern test management tools ,used in an extremely complex business banking system hosted by CGI. The work will be intense and hectic, but never boring!

In an effort to foster collaboration and partner with clients, co-op students will be required to be in the office multiple times a week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

•Document defects and support the business and development teams in the defect resolution
•Create reports and Dashboard for testing management and Key Performance Indicators
•Interact with Quality, Development, Project Management and Sr Management, while explain metadata information over testing, defects, and testing process
• Understand client requirements and system specifications
•Develop JAVA web-based applications and components as per the best practices established by the team
•Develop required functional and technical documents
•Ensure quality programming through rigorous testing
•Review peer code and propose enhancements
•Technical process documentation
•Management of technical knowledge library
•Non-production code deployments or code automation scripting

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Must be in a Co-op Accredited program.
• Studying Computer Science/Computer Engineering or related field
•Develop specifications, code, test, debug, document, and ensure successful implementation and maintenance of programs
•Experience in Object Oriented Design, Java/JEE development with Spring, UI Development using JavaScript or Angular
•Deep understanding of database design principals, query execution plans, stored procedures and SQL scripting languages (PL/SQL, TSQL).
•Experience in Eclipse IDE
• Strong desire to learn new technology, applications and business domains.
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
• Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
• Ability to successfully multi-task.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision, as well as in a team environment.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools: Outlook, Excel (Macros, Pivot Table, Vlookup, Conditional formatting, Graphs), Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Word.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail.
