POSITION DESCRIPTION:
The health services manager plans, directs and controls activities related to the provision of care and the well-being of residents. He/she ensures compliance with the standards of the profession as well as the regulations of the certification of private residences for seniors relating to his/her sector.
Temporary position: Daytime schedule from Monday to Friday full-time for a replacement position
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Act as an intermediary for various external stakeholders (physicians, pharmacists, CLSC, CISSS/CIUSSS, etc.)
- Adhere to standards and legislation in accordance with private seniors' home certification and the code of ethics
- Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
- Proactively assist and support the residents
- Provide a range of nursing care and treatments in order to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
- Respond to all emergency situations
- Collect degree in nursing (DEC) or a proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
- Experience in personnel management
- At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in nursing with a minimum of 1 year in administration
- A working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook software
