POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are currently looking for a beneficiary attendant for a permanent full-time position, 40 hours per week, evening and night shifts from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. or from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. and every other weekend.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- All other related tasks
- Answer call ringtones
- Assist and accompany residents in their travels
- Collaborate in maintaining the bond of trust with the families or loved ones of the residents as well as with the various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
- Ensure the accompaniment of residents to activities, the dining room and appointments at the home
- Notify the nurse and/or the person in charge of health services of any changes observed in the state of health of the residents
- Respond to all emergency situations
- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
- Assist the nursing staff in tasks that require no hands-on care of the resident
- Assisting with resident nutrition including feeding residents and providing resident support
- In collaboration with the different teams, carry out health and hygienic care to the residents while maintaining their dignity and integrity .
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
- Knowledge of the healthcare environment and related professions, a major asset
- Diploma of vocational studies (DVS)
- A minimum of 1 to 2 years experience
- Law 90 training
- Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
