Capital Budget Technician

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Senior Investment Project Coordinator, the person sought will be responsible for collaborating in the processing of budget authorization requests, maintaining up-to-date investment budgets for the various properties under management and ensuring that each request complies with established controls.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Complete the different KPI tables
  • Handles opening projects on different platforms
  • Perform other tasks related to the management of investment budgets
  • Proceed to project closure
  • Process budget change requests
  • Produce reports for budget validation
  • Provide support to regional managers to ensure their requests are compliant and meet company criteria
  • Receive and review budget authorization requests and process them in the system
  • Send budget authorization requests to the various signatories
  • Track project progress
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • DEP or DEC in administration, accounting or office management (an asset)
  • Fluency in French and English, both spoken and written
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in a relevant field
  • Good command of the MS 365 suite
