POSITION DESCRIPTION:
We are currently looking for a creative and passionate Cook, who wants to offer an exceptional culinary experience to residents.
Permanent full-time position, 35 hours per week, daytime from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. (10 hours per day) and every other weekend.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assemble plates of food
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
- Ensure and optimize quality standards in the use of food
- Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
- Manning the warm table, help residences with their choices
- Peel and cut vegetables for meals
- Perform other related duties
- Plan and cook meals in accordance with the appropriate methods and standards
- Training certification (MAPAQ)
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in institutional cuisine or equivelent
- At lease 3 to 5 years of experience in a large restoration's volume
- Knowledge of retirement homes, a major asset
