La Roseraie, a friendly private residence for seniors located in Ste-Foy, is looking for someone to fill a full-time food aid position.


POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Schedule: Monday to Friday with one weekend out of 2
Salary: starting at $17.06 per hour


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assemble plates of food
  • Assist in ensuring resident and staff safety in the dinning room by enforcing compliance with health and safety standards
  • Be required to participate in the serving of meals and/or light housework when required
  • Bring plates to tables and provide personalized service
  • Clean kitchen equipment
  • Clean kitchen equipment after each use (pots, stove, mixers etc.)
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure good teamwork
  • Contribute to the teams efforts to maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen and dinning room(s)
  • Ensure the kitchen and equipment are kept clean according to established hygiene and cleanliness standards
  • Greet residents in the dining room and ensure they are comfortable
  • Manning the warm table, help residences with their choices
  • Peel and cut vegetables for meals
  • Perform other related duties
  • Supervise the preparation of cold meals and desserts
  • Wash dishes after each meal and store in appropriate places
