POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Les Jardins de Renoir is a welcoming residence located in a prime area, in the heart of the Chomedey district of Laval.
We are currently seeking a talented Licensed Practical Nurse who cares about the health of our residents.
Permanent, full-time position, 10/14 shifts, 37.5 hours per week, evenings from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and every other weekend.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer medication in accordance with safety principles and the codes of ethics
- Assist in evaluating and adjusting therapeutic nursing plans (TNPs) for residents requiring special clinical care
- Collaborate with residents for medical visits
- Contribute to the development of a residentsè action plan based on their observations
- Create and maintain metuculous notes in the residents Dossier in accordance with the requirements of the Ordre des Infirmiers et Infirmières auxiliaires du Québec (OIIAQ)
- Ensure good communication as well as medical follow-ups with the vested parties
- Help maintain the relationship of trust with residents' family and friends as well as with various stakeholders (CLSC, CSSS, etc.)
- Participate in health assessments of new residents or whenever it is required
- Provide a range of nursing care and treatments in order to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
- Provide healthcare and wellness services to maintain and restore residents health and to help prevent illness
- Respond to all emergency situations
- Take part in the clinical assessments of residents and update treatment plans according to their specific needs
- Upon request by the residents doctor or pharmacist, update the residents medical dossiers and prescriptions
- Upon requests from physicians, pharmacists or the CISSS, follow up on residents medical dossiers and prescriptions
- A proffesional studies dimploma (DEP) in health care assistance, nursing
- PDSB training
- Up to date CPR / AED training certificates
- Member of the OIIAQ
- Similar experience of a minimum of 2 years
