POSITION DESCRIPTION:
In a context of growth, where the need for real estate development and construction is increasing, it is essential to recruit a senior profile with the necessary experience to effectively manage all the responsibilities associated with these strategic functions. This position, reporting directly to the Vice President of Development and Construction, involves a leadership role both in overseeing construction projects and, to some extent, in managing the initial phases of development.
ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Commit to recognizing and managing risks in real estate development projects
- Coordinate resources and stakeholders (Professionals and subcontractors)
- Ensure project deadlines are met
- Ensure quality control of operations
- Ensure that budgets for projects in execution are respected
- Ensure the full implementation of the project(s)
- Have a solid foundation in estimation using the comparable method
- Negotiate subcontracting contracts
- Plan, establish and organize schedules and budgets
- Prepare and manage calls for tenders
- Provide direction to different employees
- Provide regular follow-ups to the Vice President of Development and Construction
- Hold a degree in engineering or architecture or an equivalent combination with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction of real estate projects (residential, offices, shopping centers, etc.)
- Have good technical knowledge of construction methods
- Possess excellent skills in turnkey project development
- Be able to provide impeccable project progress and cost reports to various stakeholders
- LEED certification (an asset)
- Good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
