POSITION DESCRIPTION:

In a context of growth, where the need for real estate development and construction is increasing, it is essential to recruit a senior profile with the necessary experience to effectively manage all the responsibilities associated with these strategic functions. This position, reporting directly to the Vice President of Development and Construction, involves a leadership role both in overseeing construction projects and, to some extent, in managing the initial phases of development.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Commit to recognizing and managing risks in real estate development projects
  • Coordinate resources and stakeholders (Professionals and subcontractors)
  • Ensure project deadlines are met
  • Ensure quality control of operations
  • Ensure that budgets for projects in execution are respected
  • Ensure the full implementation of the project(s)
  • Have a solid foundation in estimation using the comparable method
  • Negotiate subcontracting contracts
  • Plan, establish and organize schedules and budgets
  • Prepare and manage calls for tenders
  • Provide direction to different employees
  • Provide regular follow-ups to the Vice President of Development and Construction
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Hold a degree in engineering or architecture or an equivalent combination with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the construction of real estate projects (residential, offices, shopping centers, etc.)
  • Have good technical knowledge of construction methods
  • Possess excellent skills in turnkey project development
  • Be able to provide impeccable project progress and cost reports to various stakeholders
  • LEED certification (an asset)
  • Good knowledge of French and English, both spoken and written
