POSITION DESCRIPTION:

The Recreation Manager position is challenging and motivating for you.
You'll have to plan, lead, and have fun with our residents every day!

A college diploma in recreation and leisure activities is not required. Experience working with seniors is an asset.

Schedule: Full-time, daytime.
Salary: Negotiable!


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Collaborate with the various departments of the residence to make everyone's job easier.
  • Disseminate the activity calendar to residents
  • In collaboration with management, plan the schedule of activities
  • Invite various speakers and offer training to residents.
  • Regularly provide activities that meet the needs and tastes of residents
Recreation
  • Animate and oversee supervision during the activities
  • Decorating the premises for special events
  • Decorating the premises for special events
  • Manage the logistics pertaining to the activities
  • Promote activities related to the residents
  • Welcome the residents and invite them to participate in the activities
  • Write the in house newspaper as needed and take residents' registrations for the various activities
EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Collect degree in recreation (DEC) or other related field
  • Experience in managing activities related to older people (an asset)
  • Diploma in leisure technology with experience working with the elderly or AEC in gerontology
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar field
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, Publisher and Internet software
