What You’ll Be Doing
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspect, service, maintain and repair diesel powered generators and diesel pumps, as well as electric submersible pumps of various voltages.
- Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work.
- Maintain documentation of inspections, maintenance, and work orders in a complete and timely manner.
- Service generators and pumps on customer jobsites (primarily an in-shop position).
- Provide a high standard of customer service in all interactions with customers.
- Adhere to company Health and Safety Policies.
What You’ll Bring to the Team
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of related mechanical experience, working on generators is an asset.
- Thorough knowledge of electrical systems and components and diesel engines is preferred.
- Strong understanding of computer applications and diagnostic tools.
- Relevant trade certificate would be an asset, or equivalent education and experience.
- Strong electrical knowledge in 12volt dc and ac power systems is an asset.
- Understanding of Tier 4 emissions and diesel pumps is an asset.
- Valid G driver’s license with clean or satisfactory driver’s abstract (no more than 3 demerit points).
- Must have a complete set of tools (or working on obtaining a complete set of tools).
- Must be available to work overtime as required, and to work on an on-call rotation.
- Flexibility; must be comfortable with managing and adapting to multiple changing priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to converse with colleagues, customers, and other parties in a professional and courteous manner.
- Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
