SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Person who is responsible for one or more programs with a view to providing professional assistance for the development of services. She/he conducts research activities that are necessary for identifying and assessing needs and resources. She/he designs and proposes development plans and programs in order to ensure adequate service planning. She/he provides advice concerning the implementation or improvement of programs and/or services. She/he may participate in various teaching or training activities.

SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
The incumbent will be looking after the work of all working groups composed of full-time employees from various Directions and Departments. They will be in charge of producing all the documentation for the different working groups and support the development of the unit. Other responsibilities include, but not limited to: * Collaborates in the development, implementation and improvement of related policies and procedures; * Collaborates in the development, implementation and improvement of related tools; * Supports development of quarterly progress reports, for presentation to the Board of Directors;* Sets up a review process of the Program Manual, program policies and services to obtain Knowledge Keeper guidance and direction;* Ensures accreditation guidelines are included and adapted in the context of Eeyou/Eenou values, beliefs and practices of the Program and Service Manual, for the proposed facilities and respite programming;* Ensures Eeyou/Eenou values, beliefs, and practices of Cultural Safety competencies & practices are embedded in all the programming and services of the proposed facilities and program development requirements;* Leads the research of best practices, equitable measures implementation in admissions standards, and development of program policies;* Supports in the identification and listing of individuals and stakeholder groups;* Supports in the identification of high-level stakeholder assessment and prioritize;* Supports in the analysis and production of reports from the Community & Stakeholder engagement activities;* Any and all other tasks required by the immediate supervisor.

Education: * University degree in administration, human sciences or social sciences, or any other pertinent disciplines;* Master's degree, an asset; * Certification in related field, an asset;* Member of a professional order, an asset.

Experience:

  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience relevant to the responsibilities of the job.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, critical thinking, decision-making, planning and organizational skills;
  • Results-oriented, autonomous, flexible, and ability to multi-task;
  • Strong interpersonal skills and able to effectively collaborate with colleagues, team members, team leader and supervisor;
  • Ability to develop and maintain partnerships in various settings;
  • Experience with client advocacy, client partnership and quality committees are an asset;
  • Experience with data analysis, preparation and presentation of data;
  • Experience with statistical and research methodologies is an asset;
  • Familiarity with quality improvement leading practices is an asset;
  • Experience in a remote area and land base settings;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and presentation;
  • Excellent computer skills MS Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.).

Language:

  • Fluent in English;
  • Fluency in Cree and/or French is an asset.

  • This position is currently being offered telework, subject to operational needs. Please note that this is not a permanent condition of the position and the employer reserves the right to request regular physical presence in the office.
