SUMMARY OF THE POSITION
Person who handles activities associated with design, orientation, consultation, updating, analysis and evaluation activities in one or more psychosocial programs.
SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS
As a clinical advisor, this person will provide clinical support, coaching and evaluation of professional activities, as well as guidance and advice to social workers, human relations officers and community workers in one or more social programs in the Pole Waskaganish (Nemaska, Eastmain & Waskaganish).
REQUIREMENTS
Education: * University degree in social work; preferred or an asset* If using the reserved title, the person must provide her/his employer with annual proof that she/he is a member of the Ordre professionnel des travailleurs sociaux du Québec.
Experience:
- Minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience in various fields and programs.
Knowledge and Abilities:
Good understanding of psychosocial issues;
- Ability to apply Eeyou/Eenou culture, values traditions and teachings into programs and services where possible;
- Ability in the identification and analysis of the professional's need
- Ability to communicate theoretical and practical knowledge, as applied to coaching and training;
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills;
- Autonomous, discrete and empathetic;
- Team work capabilities.
LANGUAGE* Fluent in English;* Fluency in Cree and/or French is an asset.
