Senior Python Developer / Lead - Operate

• Design, develop, and maintain data processing pipelines using Python and Apache Spark.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver efficient solutions.
• Optimize and tune Spark applications for performance and scalability.

Deloitte is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Python Developer / Lead to join our dynamic team on a 1-year term. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, data engineering, and big data technologies. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data processing systems using Python and Apache Spark. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions that meet our clients' needs.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in software development with a strong focus on Python.
• 3+ years of experience working with Apache Spark in a production environment.
• Proficiency in SQL and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with big data technologies such as Hadoop, Hive, and Kafka.
• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and distributed computing.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud is a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

The salary range for this position is $80,000 - $120,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
