If so, we are seeking a Control Centre Operator Planned Maintenance Coordinator who in this position will be the single point of contact between Control Centre Operations and field crews working on the pipeline during planned COPAS work, typically kicking off the start of a planned maintenance day. This position will provide the necessary communication (both verbal and written) between the CCO and the field to maintain safe conditions for all field maintenance activities on planned outage days. What You Will Do:
  • Collaborate with Nominations Planning, Scheduling, Control Center Operations (CCO) and Regional Outage Coordinators (ROCs) to align and coordinate maintenance work/projects to effectively plan common line outages to minimize rate loss and increase throughput and revenue streams.
  • Review, organize and communicate Capacity Outage Planning and Approval System (COPAS) requests for planned maintenance to CCO Management, CCO Operators and other stakeholder groups such as Leak Detection to ensure effective and prompt execution of the maintenance work in the field.
  • Responsible for coordination and communication with Regional Outage Coordinators and CCO Operators for work during outages with work at multiple sites and multiple regions.
  • Technical SME to all planned maintenance work, including but not limited to developing shutdown and re-start plans, identifying conflicting scope, etc.
  • Tracking and analysis of Outage Metrics.
  • Drive initiatives towards continuous improvement of the process.

Who You Are:
  • Minimum 5 years experience in Operations preferably in a pipeline company; Previous pipeline experience (Control Center Operations) strongly preferred.
  • A technical degree, diploma or certificate relating to construction or oil and gas industry; or a combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills with the proven ability to work in a collaborative environment with diverse groups and individual personalities.
  • Good computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel programs). Experience with COPAS (Capacity Outage Planning and Safe Work Approval) preferred.
  • Ability to pro-actively influence events and to be assertive as required to ensure the Company’s best interests.
  • Ability to understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines.
